DONATE LIFE WORKPLACE PARTNERSHIPS

OneLegacy’s Donate Life Workplace Partnerships is a community education program designed to encourage and support companies, government organizations and other employers in educating their employees and/or customers about the life-saving and life-enhancing benefits of organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

By participating in this program — administered by OneLegacy, the federally designated transplant donor network serving Southern California, as an extension of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Workplace Partnerships for Life initiative (see letter from HHS Secretary) — employers can play an important part in inspiring people throughout Southern California to donate life.

How Your Workplace Can Help

Only with information and education will people say “yes” to donation. We ask that you join the Donate Life Workplace Partnership because your employees and customers have the power to change someone’s world by giving the most precious gift: Life. All they need is quality information so that they can make a decision for themselves or their loved ones.

Your company can become a Donate Life Workplace Partner by employing any of your internal communication channels to distribute educational information, including:

  • Broadcast emails to your staff
  • Place brochures in staff mailboxes
  • Include information with employee paychecks
  • Publish an article in your company newsletter announcing your commitment and/or promoting donation.
  • Host a speaker at lunch or a staff meeting
  • Employee education day or health fair
  • Display brochures in the lobby
  • Post signage in common areas
  • Create a bulletin board display
  • Provide information at a blood drive
  • Provide Donate Life candies to your customers or employees
  • Distribute Donate Life magnets to employees
  • Play Donate Life loop video on TV/monitors

To help you plan and execute the program, a designated Workplace Account Executive from OneLegacy will personally support your efforts by recommending activities best suited for your environment and supplying you with high-quality educational materials.

Please feel free to contact your region's Community Development Coordinator to schedule a meeting with a Workplace Account Executive. You can jumpstart the process by downloading and faxing a Commitment Form:
