Ryan Zinn

Ryan received a heart transplant at age 15 after battling congestive heart failure for nine months, followed by a stroke. He went home 13 days after receiving heart transplant, going on to become a high school valedictorian and track record holder. Ryan earned a masters degree in engineering and has competed in the U.S. and World Transplant Games since 1992. He volunteers for Lifeline of Ohio and NKF of Ohio and served on the Second Chance Trust Fund for Ohio. He is also a former president of Buckeye TRIO, the Ohio chapter of Transplant Recipients International Organization. Ryan is grateful for having been able to live such a full life, "all thanks to the generosity of a donor family who never knew me."
