INSPIRING THE WORLD TO DONATE LIFE! Those touched by organ and tissue donation will celebrate their family ties on New Year’s Day 2005 as the Donate Life Rose Parade Float makes its second appearance in the Tournament of Roses Parade®. More than 50 official partners nationwide and a special Family Circle of individual contributors are proud to support the 2005 Donate Life float, themed Many Families, One Gift. Designed and built by Phoenix Decorating Co., the Donate Life float will bring a special meaning to the 2005 Rose Parade theme, Celebrate Family, as 11 rider “families” totaling 23 riders illustrate how organ and tissue donation and transplantation saves lives and strengthens families. This year’s parade entry follows our inaugural 2004 Rose Parade float entry, A Symphony of Life, and continues our mission to inspire all people to donate life by choosing to be organ and tissue donors. More than 86,000 Americans and their families currently await organ transplants, while every year hundreds of thousands of people need donated tissue to prevent or cure blindness, heal burns or save limbs. Your commitment helps people in need, their families and your community. We invite you to learn more about the extraordinary riders who will "celebrate family" aboard the 2005 Donate Life Rose Parade Float. And as they inspire you, visit the Coalition on Donation to find out how you too can "Donate Life" by becoming an organ and tissue donor. |
