Manager,Donation Development

OneLegacy, the non-profit organ and tissue recovery organization serving the seven-county greater Los Angeles area, has an immediate career opportunity for a Manager, Donation Development in our Redlands office. Position Description: Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Manager, Donation Development (MDD) is responsible for the daily operations, direction, development, and evaluation of the donation development team. The manager will motivate and foster collaborative efforts with the DD team to meet OneLegacy’s goals. The Manager, Donation Development will provide support to the donation development training program, both in the field and in the classroom, when necessary. The MDD is responsible for overseeing donation development initiatives to include special projects, staff training and information systems for tracking and reporting; as well as, quality improvement, policies and procedures creation and revisions, and OneLegacy’s donation development activities. The MDD supports the COO to identify, develop, and implement effective teaching tools and other resources for the donation development team. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field or at least (4) years previous experience in the same or similar position with an organ procurement organization is required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Minimum of two years experience in donation and/or hospital development, with a record of superior performance. Demonstrated leadership ability and success in program development necessary. Must possess superior interpersonal and written communication skills. Procurement Transplant Coordinator

Position Description: The Procurement Transplant Coordinator (PTC) is responsible for all aspects of organ procurement from the initial hospital referral through the organ recovery procedure. The clinical element of the position is to provide medical donor patient care, with an emphasis on assessment, resuscitation, physiologic management, organ placement and organ recovery of all suitable organs. Assists in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the assessed needs of the donor and the psychosocial needs of the family in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements, policies and goals of OneLegacy. The PTC will also have shared responsibility for hospital development in his/her assigned hospitals and for conducting professional and public education presentations on the subject of organ and tissue donation. PTCs are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties.Qualifications:Registered Nursing Program, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Candidates who are not licensed RN’s will be considered for the position of PTC at the discretion of the COO and Manager of Procurement. Critical Care Patient Management (ICU, OR, ER) experience mandatory. BCLS certification required at the time of employment. Required to be ACLS certified within 12-months and CPTC certified within 24-months of employment. IS Project Manager

Position Description: The IS Software Project Manager (ISSPM) is primarily responsible for managing medium and large, complex technology/software projects to ensure that goals are met on time, on budget and are delivered with the highest quality. The ISSPM assumes overall performance responsibility for managing cross-functional projects with responsibilities of project scope, schedule, issues, deliverables and budget. The ISSPM develops and executes comprehensive project plans for new application implementations. The ISSPM delegates tasks and manages resources to ensure timely rollout of project deliverables. The ISSPM works closely with the Director of Information Technology, Chief Operating Officer/Chief Information Officer (COO/CIO), and the software development team to accomplish goals and project objectives. Information Systems Coordinator

Position Description: The Information Systems Coordinator (ISC) is primarily responsible for providing end user support for organization wide systems and for escalating issues for resolution when necessary. The ISC shall participate in validation activities related to software development and implementation of both (off-the-shelf) software and internally developed software to meet OneLegacy Computer Systems Validation requirements. The ISC shall also assist with compiling end user requirements for both software and reporting development and providing required documentation to the Information Systems development team to support Software Development Life Cycle Requirements and reporting development requirements.. The ISC coordinates and may participate in the execution of User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing for both internal software development and reporting development. Performs screening at the Coroner offices to identify potential donors; Performs aseptic surgical recovery of tissues such as: Ocular, Musculoskeletal, Skin, Vascular, Cardiac, Bone Marrow, and other tissues as requested; Performs medical chart review and qualify a donor for recovery; Performs Organ Recovery Coordination; Assists in the aseptic surgical recovery of organs; Performs aseptic surgical recovery of organs for research; Performs Kidney Pumping/pulsatile perfusion; Performs Organ Recovery OR support; Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with OneLegacy policies and procedures, the standards and regulations as outlined by the FDA, UNOS, CMS, and other applicable federal, state and local laws. Medical Records Coordinator

Position Description: Under the direction of the Supervisor, Donor Information (SDI), the Medical Records Coordinator (MRC) will provide support to the donation development department by entering, filing and retrieval of any donor related data from hospital records; and handling of all communication with regard to donor records for internal and external entities. The MRC will be responsible for the collecting and processing of the Hospital Death Lists; will review data for the OneLegacy donor information reports and communicate with the donation development and donor information teams, on an ongoing basis and providing timely reporting to meet OneLegacy’s goals. The MRC will also support the Donor Information department and be responsible for the review of incoming donor charts for hospital records completeness and contacting the hospital to obtain outstanding records. em>Qualifications: : Bachelor’s Degree required. Donor Information Coordinator

Position Description: The Donor Information Coordinator (DIC) is primarily responsible for the completion of the organ and tissue donor case files in a timely manner and in accordance with OneLegacy policies and procedures and regulatory requirements by performing the initial complete review, obtaining corrections from OneLegacy Recovery staff, obtaining required documentation from agencies such as hospitals, ME/Coroner’s offices, processors, laboratories, or other relevant government entities, and confirming that the donor case file is correct, accurate, and complete. The DIC will collaborate with other departments to communicate culture results to transplant centers. The DIC will enter case information into databases as assigned, which may include Organ Procurement Transplantation Network (OPTN). The DIC is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of donor information in donor databases. The DIC will work with the Supervisor of Donor Information to meet pre-determined chart completion goals. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. em>Qualifications: : Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university, completion of Surgical Technologist, EMT program, or LVN program with state certification required. Responsibilities of the Family Care Specialist include: Service as a subject matter expert to potential donor families on the process of organ donation and recovery; Providing support to grieving families, while advocating for the potential donor; Securing authorization for organ donation and completing patient history; Referring donor families to appropriate internal and external resources, and; collaborating with OneLegacy and hospital staff to obtain an optimal outcome for donor families. Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have medical/clinical background and experience in a customer service position, preferably in a healthcare setting. Preference is for candidates with a bachelor’s degree, however, significant directly-related experience may be substituted. Supervisor, Tissue Recovery Operations

OneLegacy, the non-profit organ and tissue recovery organization serving the seven-county greater Los Angeles area, has an immediate career opportunity for a Full Time Supervisor, Recovery Operations in our Los Angeles Office. Position Description:: The Supervisor of Recovery Operations (SRO) is responsible for the oversight and regulatory compliance of the assigned Recovery office location (Los Angeles) with specific responsibilities that include: daily supervision of tissue recovery personnel; ensuring all coroner and mortuary facilities in the OneLegacy service area are provided adequate customer service; performs organ and tissue recoveries; and has Tissue Operations liaison relationship responsibilities with the agency conducting donor screening and coordination services and coroners’ offices. The SRO performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures and regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations and other applicable federal, state and local laws. Hires staff, performs personnel disciplinary action, and performs involuntary separations per HR policies. Performs on-call responsibilities. Qualifications: College degree with an emphasis in Health Sciences and/or other related background preferred. Three years in tissue banking or three years related experience in an allied health or mortuary science field. EBAA and AATB certification preferred or within one year of hire date. Position Description:: The Director, Organ Clinical Operations (DOCO) will oversee the day to day operations and plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategies in the areas if Organ procurement, Referral Process Coordination, and Organ Family Care. The DOCO will also oversee the budgetary and fiscal management of these departments. As a member of the OneLegacy leadership team and the Organ Operations team, DOCO will actively foster an organizational culture that is based on collaboration, support, constructive feedback and accountability. The position requires a highly organized and resourceful person with excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills who demonstrates tact, maturity, and professionalism in all points of contact. The DOCO must possess the ability to solve problems independently, and work with others in a congenial and collaborative manner; and bring a demonstrated ability to work with executive management on organizational strategic planning and change initiatives. Qualifications: Four year college degree is required with preferred course work in behavioral sciences, social sciences or other health related fields. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of four years of critical care experience and/or equivalency of nurse management is required. The minimum requirements for this position include but not limited to the following: prior management experience with at least three (3) years in a health related field; must have proven leadership, communication and management skills, also a proven ability to coach and mentor. Demonstrated leadership in managing a diverse group of professionals, evidence of a flexible team player; with knowledge or understanding of commitment to medical health issues and implementing social change efforts are required. Position Description: The Supervisor, Central Supply responsibilities include overseeing the ordering of all clinical (organ, tissue and eye), office and promotional supplies, receiving operations deliveries, shelving and rotating stock, keeping track of inventory levels for all supply needs, cleaning and sterilization of surgical instrument kits, and cleaning of all clinical supply areas at all OneLegacy locations. Other additional responsibilities include the oversight and coordination of OneLegacy’s operations pool of vehicles; and maintenance/facility oversight of OneLegacy satellite offices. This position provides daily supervision to all staff involved in central processing; ensuring that central supply operations and Policy and Procedures relating to the functions described below are compliant with all regulatory requirements.Qualifications:Completion of a two year college degree required. Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Healthcare facility / plant engineering and maintenance / Inventory Control / Materials management or related field required. Surgical Recovery Technician

Position Description: The Surgical Recovery Technician (SRT) is responsible for the surgical recovery of donated cadaveric tissues that are used in transplantation. The recovery responsibilities include the aseptic surgical recovery of: Ocular, Musculoskeletal, Dermal, Vascular, and Cardiac Tissue. Additional responsibilities include screening at the County Corner offices, referral triage, and the coordination of organ operating room (OR) recoveries. Qualifications: Highly qualified candidates must have one of the following: Possess a Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university, completion of an EMT program, completion of a ER Technologist or Surgical Technologist program, current or previous licensure as a paramedic, previous experience in the Tissue or Organ recovery industry or experience in the allied health field. CEBT and/or CTBS certifications are preferred. Family Care Coordinator

OneLegacy, the non-profit organ and tissue recovery organization serving the seven-county greater Los Angeles area, has an immediate career opportunity for a full time Family Care Coordinator in our Los Angeles office. Position Description: The Family Care Coordinator (FCC) is primarily responsible for obtaining donor consents from the legal next-of-kin (LNOK) in a timely and consistent manner; providing the LNOK with honest and unbiased tissue donation options; and completing the medical/social history questionnaire with the appropriate person to assist in determination of donor eligibility. The FCC is also responsible for gathering clinical information from the referral facility and additional healthcare providers as needed; and coordinating the recovery process with tissue processing agencies, recovery staff, and recovery facilities. The FCC will perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with OneLegacy policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Completion of one of the requirements listed below is required: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in physical or social sciences field; OR Completion of a certification in the medical field such as LVN, RN, Surgical Technologist, EMT, Medical Billing or CNA program. Prior experience working more than six months in a telemarketing, help desk/troubleshooting, phone counseling or customer services call center environment preferred. Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm preferred.
