Donation Development Coordinator
OneLegacy, the non-profit organ and tissue recovery organization serving the seven-county greater Los Angeles area, has an immediate career opportunity for a Full Time Donation Development Coordinator in our Bakersfield Office . Position Description: The Donation Development Coordinator (DDC) is responsible to represent OneLegacy in assigned hospitals and partners with all hospitals within the designated service area (DSA) to maximize the potential for organ and tissue donation. The DDC maintains the hospital's outcome data and communicates all data and missed donation opportunities for quality improvement to the appropriate hospital team member(s). The DDC partners with key administration and hospital team members to develop policies and procedures, implements strategies to increase referrals and improve performance outcomes in organ and tissue donation in assigned hospital(s). Qualifications: Our ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or at least two (2) years previous experience in the same or similar position with an organ procurement organization is preferred. Must have experience in presenting information to upper management, physicians/nurses, public groups, boards of directors, and committees. Experience in assessing challenging organizational and personal impediments to change and development of strategies to overcome these. Experience in analyzing and interpreting data, solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; and creative and critical thinking skills, designing concepts and organizing effectively to motivate others. Procurement Transplant Coordinator

Position Description: The Procurement Transplant Coordinator (PTC) is responsible for all aspects of organ procurement from the initial hospital referral through the organ recovery procedure. The clinical element of the position is to provide medical donor patient care, with an emphasis on assessment, resuscitation, physiologic management, organ placement and organ recovery of all suitable organs. Assists in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the assessed needs of the donor and the psychosocial needs of the family in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements, policies and goals of OneLegacy. The PTC will also have shared responsibility for hospital development in his/her assigned hospitals and for conducting professional and public education presentations on the subject of organ and tissue donation. PTCs are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties. Qualifications: Registered Nursing Program, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Candidates who are not licensed RN’s will be considered for the position of PTC at the discretion of the COO and Manager of Procurement. Critical Care Patient Management (ICU, OR, ER) experience mandatory. BCLS certification required at the time of employment. Required to be ACLS certified within 12-months and CPTC certified within 24-months of employment. Position Description: The Manager, Donor Family Aftercare (MDFA) must be dedicated to supporting the mission of OneLegacy to provide the opportunity to improve and extend lives through organ and tissue donation for transplantation. This individual is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the department staff in areas of donor family follow up, personnel management, and fiscal management. This individual is responsible for ensuring that the family and aftercare staff provides high quality service at all times, so that communication with donor families is done with sensitivity and consideration of the needs of the donor family members. As a member of the leadership team, this individual actively fosters an organizational culture that is based on collaboration, support, and constructive feedback; providing input as needed into policy development and other organizational decisions. Helpdesk Technician

Position Description: The Helpdesk Technician position is responsible for providing first level support for all IT support requests. This includes hardware and software troubleshooting as well as recording, tracking and following up on the status of each IT support ticket. This position will also be on a 24x7 on call rotation schedule. The Helpdesk Technician position will handle confidential information, as well as, creating and keeping various department/operations reports/records. The Helpdesk Technician will also work in the field with frontline staff to identify and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, and partner with our DSA hospitals, Coroner offices and Transplant Centers. Position Description: The Donor Information Coordinator (DIC) is primarily responsible for the completion of the organ and tissue donor case files in a timely manner and in accordance with OneLegacy policies and procedures and regulatory requirements by performing the initial complete review, obtaining corrections from OneLegacy Recovery staff, obtaining required documentation from agencies such as hospitals, ME/Coroner’s offices, processors, laboratories, or other relevant government entities, and confirming that the donor case file is correct, accurate, and complete. The DIC will collaborate with other departments to communicate culture results to transplant centers. The DIC will enter case information into databases as assigned, which may include Organ Procurement Transplantation Network (OPTN). The DIC is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of donor information in donor databases. The DIC will work with the Manager of Donor Information to meet pre-determined chart completion goals. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university, completion of Surgical Technologist, EMT program, or LVN program with state certification. Position Description: The Surgical Recovery Technician (SRT) is responsible for the surgical recovery of donated cadaveric tissues that are used in transplantation. The recovery responsibilities include the aseptic surgical recovery of: Ocular, Musculoskeletal, Dermal, Vascular, and Cardiac Tissue. Additional responsibilities include screening at the County Corner offices, referral triage, and the coordination of organ operating room (OR) recoveries. Position Description: The Family Care Coordinator (FCC) is primarily responsible for obtaining donor consents from the legal next-of-kin (LNOK) in a timely and consistent manner; providing the LNOK with honest and unbiased tissue donation options; and completing the medical/social history questionnaire with the appropriate person to assist in determination of donor eligibility. The FCC is also responsible for gathering clinical information from the referral facility and additional healthcare providers as needed; and coordinating the recovery process with tissue processing agencies, recovery staff, and recovery facilities.
