IS Development Manager

OneLegacy, the non-profit organ and tissue recovery organization serving the seven-county greater Los Angeles area, has an immediate career opportunity for an IS Development Manager in our Los Angeles office. Position Description: The IS Development Manager (ISDM) is primarily responsible for managing, coordinating, and directing resources and processes to deliver software releases for OneLegacy developed software, participating in defining the strategy for the overall direction of OneLegacy’s software systems, and driving Information Systems initiatives that deliver and meet OneLegacy’s organizational goals. This position oversees individual contributors and team leads that are responsible for the analysis, design, construction and maintenance of software. The ISDM will demonstrate global leadership and authority including resource allocation, project management, software development life cycle management, system integration, testing, interface facilitation and analysis. The ISDM will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective software technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The ISDM is responsible for medium and large, complex technology/software projects to ensure that goals are met on time, on budget and are delivered with the highest quality. The ISDM assumes overall performance responsibility for managing cross-functional projects with responsibilities of project scope, schedule, issues, deliverables and budget. The ISDM develops and executes comprehensive project plans for new application implementations. The ISDM delegates tasks and manages resources to ensure timely rollout of project deliverables. The ISDM works closely with the Director of Information Technology, Chief Operating Officer/Chief Information Officer (COO/CIO), the software development team, and the IT Department to accomplish goals and project objectives. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of management/leadership experience in a software development department/organization required. At least 3 years of people management experience required. Must have at least 7 years of experience working through design, development, release cycle, and delivering software products to market. Two years of IT/Software Project Management experience required. Strong understanding of and experience with SDLC, software validation, and software implementation. Information Systems Coordinator

Position Description: The Information Systems Coordinator (ISC) is primarily responsible for providing end user support for organization wide systems and for escalating issues for resolution when necessary. The ISC shall participate in validation activities related to software development and implementation of both (off-the-shelf) software and internally developed software to meet OneLegacy Computer Systems Validation requirements. The ISC shall also assist with compiling end user requirements for both software and reporting development and providing required documentation to the Information Systems development team to support Software Development Life Cycle Requirements and reporting development requirements.. The ISC coordinates and may participate in the execution of User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing for both internal software development and reporting development. Surgical Recovery Coordinator

Position Description: The Surgical Recovery Coordinator (SRC) is responsible for the surgical recovery of donated Organs and Tissues used for transplantation and research, screening of potential tissue donors at the Coroner offices and coordinating the Operating Room (OR) recovery process for Organ and Tissue donors. Performs screening at the Coroner offices to identify potential donors; Performs aseptic surgical recovery of tissues such as: Ocular, Musculoskeletal, Skin, Vascular, Cardiac, Bone Marrow, and other tissues as requested; Performs medical chart review and qualify a donor for recovery; Performs Organ Recovery Coordination; Assists in the aseptic surgical recovery of organs; Performs aseptic surgical recovery of organs for research; Performs Kidney Pumping/pulsatile perfusion; Performs Organ Recovery OR support; Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with OneLegacy policies and procedures, the standards and regulations as outlined by the FDA, UNOS, CMS, and other applicable federal, state and local laws. Clinical Resource Specialist

Position Description: The Clinical Resource Specialist (CRS) provides instruction and guidance to clinical staff on organ referrals and donor cases. Incorporating policies/practices and ensuring the transfer of knowledge into clinical practice, the CRS will ensure consistency in process and facilitate communication both internally and externally. The CRS oversees numerous aspects of daily referral and donor management including: referral triage and suitability, response to referrals, death verification, approach and authorization, clinical donor management strategies in collaboration with Intensivist, organ allocation, organ recovery, documentation, quality assessments and collection of data. The CRS will demonstrate fiscal responsibility with appropriate utilization of clinical resources including staff activity and assignments and by monitoring referral and donor case performance metrics. The CRS must be able to communicate professionally and direct staff through the decision-making process. The CRS will strive to continuously improve the quality of our practices, performance and service to our transplant center and hospital partners, our donors and their families. This role will actively foster an organizational culture that is based on collaboration, support, process improvement and constructive feedback. In addition to the responsibilities above, the CRS will continue to perform both referral and donor management in the field on a specified number of days per month or as indicated. Qualifications:BS/BA degree preferred, or equal job experience. Procurement Transplant Coordinator (3 Years) with preceptor experience. Demonstrated excellence in knowledge of clinical evaluation and management of the organ/tissue donor. Preferred experience providing clinical education. BCLS/ACLS/PALS certification required to perform this job function. Must be CPTC certified. Donation Development Coordinator

Position Description: The OneLegacy Donation Development Coordinator (DDC) is responsible to represent OneLegacy in assigned hospitals and partners with all hospitals within the designated service area (DSA) to maximize the potential for organ and tissue donation. The DDC maintains the hospital’s outcome data and communicates all data and missed donation opportunities for quality improvement to the appropriate hospital team members(s). The DDC partners with key administration and hospital team members to develop policies and procedures, implements strategies to increase referrals and improve performance outcomes in organ and tissue donation in assigned hospital(s). Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or at least two (2) years previous experience in the same or similar position with an organ procurement organization is preferred. Experience in presenting information to upper management, physicians/nurses, public groups, boards of directors, and committees. Experience in assessing challenging organizational and personal impediments to change and development of strategies to overcome these. Position Description: The primary focus of the Manager, Transplant Services for both Abdominal and Thoracic Organs is to work with the transplant surgeons and the transplant centers. This role will create and implement effective donation strategies with designated transplant hospitals to maximize the number of organs recovered for transplantation. The MTS will be responsible in representing OneLegacy in assigned hospitals offering overall support, and education to enhance all transplant center relationships to optimize organs for recovery and transplantation. The MTS will work closely with the leadership team to ensure that seamless, comprehensive customer service is provided to the transplant centers. Medical Records Coordinator

Position Description: Under the direction of the Supervisor, Donor Information (SDI), the Medical Records Coordinator (MRC) will provide support to the donation development department by entering, filing and retrieval of any donor related data from hospital records; and handling of all communication with regard to donor records for internal and external entities. The MRC will be responsible for the collecting and processing of the Hospital Death Lists; will review data for the OneLegacy donor information reports and communicate with the donation development and donor information teams, on an ongoing basis and providing timely reporting to meet OneLegacy’s goals. The MRC will also support the Donor Information department and be responsible for the review of incoming donor charts for hospital records completeness and contacting the hospital to obtain outstanding records. em>Qualifications: : Bachelor’s Degree required. Donor Information Coordinator

Position Description: The Donor Information Coordinator (DIC) is primarily responsible for the completion of the organ and tissue donor case files in a timely manner and in accordance with OneLegacy policies and procedures and regulatory requirements by performing the initial complete review, obtaining corrections from OneLegacy Recovery staff, obtaining required documentation from agencies such as hospitals, ME/Coroner’s offices, processors, laboratories, or other relevant government entities, and confirming that the donor case file is correct, accurate, and complete. The DIC will collaborate with other departments to communicate culture results to transplant centers. The DIC will enter case information into databases as assigned, which may include Organ Procurement Transplantation Network (OPTN). The DIC is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of donor information in donor databases. The DIC will work with the Supervisor of Donor Information to meet pre-determined chart completion goals. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. em>Qualifications: : Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university, completion of Surgical Technologist, EMT program, or LVN program with state certification required. A minimum of two years recovery experience in organ or tissue banking is preferred. CTBS certification required to be obtained within 2 years of employment. Position Description: This position requires travel throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area with minimal overnights. The Family Care Specialist is a key member of the operation team and represents OneLegacy to the families of potential donors, clinical and hospital staff and to the communities OneLegacy serves. Responsibilities of the Family Care Specialist include: Service as a subject matter expert to potential donor families on the process of organ donation and recovery; Providing support to grieving families, while advocating for the potential donor; Securing authorization for organ donation and completing patient history; Referring donor families to appropriate internal and external resources, and; collaborating with OneLegacy and hospital staff to obtain an optimal outcome for donor families. Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have medical/clinical background and experience in a customer service position, preferably in a healthcare setting. Preference is for candidates with a bachelor’s degree, however, significant directly-related experience may be substituted. Position Description:: The Supervisor of Recovery Operations (SRO) is responsible for the oversight and regulatory compliance of the assigned Recovery office location (Los Angeles) with specific responsibilities that include: daily supervision of tissue recovery personnel; ensuring all coroner and mortuary facilities in the OneLegacy service area are provided adequate customer service; performs organ and tissue recoveries; and has Tissue Operations liaison relationship responsibilities with the agency conducting donor screening and coordination services and coroners’ offices. The SRO performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures and regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations and other applicable federal, state and local laws. Hires staff, performs personnel disciplinary action, and performs involuntary separations per HR policies. Performs on-call responsibilities. Qualifications: College degree with an emphasis in Health Sciences and/or other related background preferred. Three years in tissue banking or three years related experience in an allied health or mortuary science field. EBAA and AATB certification preferred or within one year of hire date. Donation Development Clinical Specialist

Position Description:: The Donation Development Clinical Specialist (DDCS) is responsible to represent OneLegacy in assigned hospitals and partners with all hospitals within the designated service area (DSA) to maximize the potential for organ, eye and tissue donation. The DDCS maintains the hospital’s outcome data and communicates all data and missed donation opportunities for quality improvement to the appropriate hospital team member(s). The DDCS partners with key administration and hospital team members to develop policies and procedures, implements strategies to increase referrals and improve performance outcomes in organ, eye and tissue donation in assigned hospital(s). The DDCS utilizes their clinical skill set to provide specialized education and training to hospital staff and to monitor clinical donor and pre-donor management to maximize donor potential. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in assessing challenging organization and personal impediments to change and development of strategies to overcome these. Experience in analyzing and interpreting data, solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Two (2) years previous experience in the same or similar position with an Organ Procurement Organization is preferred. Medical background as EMT, LVN, RT, RN, or experience in organ donor management preferred. Position Description:: The Director, Organ Clinical Operations (DOCO) will oversee the day to day operations and plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategies in the areas if Organ procurement, Referral Process Coordination, and Organ Family Care. The DOCO will also oversee the budgetary and fiscal management of these departments. As a member of the OneLegacy leadership team and the Organ Operations team, DOCO will actively foster an organizational culture that is based on collaboration, support, constructive feedback and accountability. The position requires a highly organized and resourceful person with excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills who demonstrates tact, maturity, and professionalism in all points of contact. The DOCO must possess the ability to solve problems independently, and work with others in a congenial and collaborative manner; and bring a demonstrated ability to work with executive management on organizational strategic planning and change initiatives. Qualifications: Four year college degree is required with preferred course work in behavioral sciences, social sciences or other health related fields. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of four years of critical care experience and/or equivalency of nurse management is required. The minimum requirements for this position include but not limited to the following: prior management experience with at least three (3) years in a health related field; must have proven leadership, communication and management skills, also a proven ability to coach and mentor. Position Description: The Supervisor, Materials Management (SMM),(central supply, central services, sterile processing) responsibilities include overseeing the ordering of all organ, tissue and eye (medical supplies) supplies, operations deliveries, shelving and rotating stock, keeping track of inventory levels for tissue, eye and organ needs, cleaning and sterilization (autoclave) of (surgical) instrument kits ensures upkeep of the supply areas, and oversees Quality Control. Other additional responsibilities will include the oversight and coordination of OneLegacy’s operations pool of vehicles; and facility oversight and maintenance of Central Supply and OneLegacy satellite offices. This position also oversees all staff involved in central processing; ensures that central supply operations and Policy and Procedures relating to the functions described below are compliant with all regulatory requirements. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. Surgical Recovery Technician

Position Description: The Surgical Recovery Technician (SRT) is responsible for the surgical recovery of donated cadaveric tissues that are used in transplantation. The recovery responsibilities include the aseptic surgical recovery of: Ocular, Musculoskeletal, Dermal, Vascular, and Cardiac Tissue. Additional responsibilities include screening at the County Corner offices, referral triage, and the coordination of organ operating room (OR) recoveries. Qualifications: Highly qualified candidates must have one of the following: Possess a Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university, completion of an EMT program, completion of a ER Technologist or Surgical Technologist program, current or previous licensure as a paramedic, previous experience in the Tissue or Organ recovery industry or experience in the allied health field. CEBT and/or CTBS certifications are preferred. Family Care Coordinator

Position Description: The Family Care Coordinator (FCC) is primarily responsible for obtaining donor consents from the legal next-of-kin (LNOK) in a timely and consistent manner; providing the LNOK with honest and unbiased tissue donation options; and completing the medical/social history questionnaire with the appropriate person to assist in determination of donor eligibility. The FCC is also responsible for gathering clinical information from the referral facility and additional healthcare providers as needed; and coordinating the recovery process with tissue processing agencies, recovery staff, and recovery facilities. The FCC will perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with OneLegacy policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Completion of one of the requirements listed below is required: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in physical or social sciences field; OR Completion of a certification in the medical field such as LVN, RN, Surgical Technologist, EMT, Medical Billing or CNA program. Prior experience working more than six months in a telemarketing, help desk/troubleshooting, phone counseling or customer services call center environment preferred. Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm preferred.
