Frankie Hernandez Legacy of Life Baseball Tournament

This youth baseball tournament honors Frankie Hernandez, an All-Star baseball player from Arleta, who became an organ donor in 2005 at the age of nine. Participants include 20 elite, Southern California competitive-level teams in four age divisions between ages seven and 12. The tournament, hosted by Frankie’s family and his former baseball coach, Marco Martinez, was founded in 2005 by Frankie’s mother, Erica Rangel-Báez, to honor his birthday.

Proceeds from the event benefit are designated to sponsor donor family participation in national Donate Life events.
